Information About the Disease

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) causes the cells in the lymphatic system to abnormally reproduce, eventually causing tumors to grow. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cells can also spread to other organs. There are several types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which are classified and treated by how quickly they spread. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma has increased by more than 70% over the last 20 years and now represents 4% of all American cancers. The majority of NHL cases occur in adults 40-70 years of age. As the disease progresses it is very important to seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
