Out-of-pocket costs concerns at the start of the year for seniors on Medicare

Executive Summary

In February 2021, Morning Consult conducted a national survey of 1,000 seniors on Medicare taking prescription drugs with one or more chronic conditions. The survey aimed to understand their top healthcare costs concerns, the impact of healthcare costs when beneficiaries had not yet met their annual deductible, and their confidence in paying for healthcare through the rest of the year. Data was also tracked from a similar survey conducted in February 2020 to see how these measures shifted over the past year.
