A native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Dr. Pamela J. Mazyck is currently the clinical pharmacy manager of Specialty Pharmacy at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Prior to this role, she served as a clinical pharmacy specialist with the Specialty Pharmacy division within the Department of Pharmacy. She previously practiced in the areas of neurology and sickle cell disease.

Dr. Mazyck is a board-certified specialist in pharmacotherapy and ambulatory Care as well as a certified diabetes educator. She currently holds pharmacy licensures in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and serves as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chairperson for the Department of Pharmacy Services at MUSC.

Dr. Mazyck received her undergraduate degree in biology education from South Carolina State University and a doctorate in pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana. After her pharmacy training, she completed a general pharmacy practice residency at Columbus Regional Medical Center, Columbus, GA. In addition, she completed a specialty residency in family medicine, a fellowship in outcomes research, and received a master’s degree in clinical research from MUSC.

In her spare time, Dr. Mazyck likes to watch football, shop, travel, watch movies, exercise and spend time with family and friends.
