New partnership with National Eczema Association

The PAN Foundation and the National Eczema Association today announced they are launching a new partnership to help people living with atopic dermatitis, providing up to $3,700 per year in financial assistance and support services for patients and their caregivers or loved ones.

Atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema, is a chronic disease that affects the integumentary system, causing an itchy inflammation of the skin. According to the National Eczema Association, more than 25 million Americans are living with atopic dermatitis.

“When left untreated, atopic dermatitis can become debilitating for many and with no known cure, access to treatment is critical,” said PAN President and CEO Kevin L. Hagan. “Thanks to our generous donors, we are honored to help patients cover their out-of-pocket treatment costs. And with this new partnership with the National Eczema Association, we can help our patients access the education, support groups, research, and other resources critical to their overall care journeys.”

The National Eczema Association (NEA) is committed to connecting the eczema community with the knowledge, resources, and tools needed to take collective action to improve their lives.

“While atopic dermatitis typically begins in childhood, it is a long-term condition that can come and go for years or throughout life—often negatively impacting one’s quality of life. Itching, which is the hallmark symptom of the disease, can make it difficult to concentrate, negatively affect sleep quality and duration, and impact one’s mental and emotional well-being,” said NEA President and CEO Julie Block. “We are excited to begin this partnership with the PAN Foundation and look forward to continuing to provide more holistic support for patients with atopic dermatitis. We are grateful for PAN’s financial support to patients, allowing them to focus on other aspects of their care and quality of life.”

Patients who qualify for the PAN’s atopic dermatitis fund are eligible to receive $3,700 per year in financial assistance.

To get financial assistance for atopic dermatitis, patients must:
