The PAN Foundation’s commitment to transparency and operational excellence allows us to continue our vital, life-saving work of connecting thousands of people with the healthcare they need each year. Our operational safeguards ensure we are abiding by all guidelines and advisory opinions issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General and meeting the highest standards of excellence in our operations.
Operational safeguards
By implementing a robust set of internal processes and procedures, PAN Foundation safeguards our operations and mitigates risk. As the first, and only, charitable patient assistance foundation to provide transparency around our operations, we aim to strengthen the trust patients, providers, and donors have in the work we do.
Disease fund creation
The PAN Foundation independently identifies and establishes new disease funds based on patient need.
Disease fund formulary
The PAN Foundation creates and manages formularies in consultation with medical experts.
Our enrollment process
The PAN Foundation enrolls patients on a first-come, first-served basis and operates a wait list when funds close.
Our claims process
The PAN Foundation requires patients, or their healthcare professional, to request and receive payment for a claim from the PAN Foundation every 120 days to keep the grant active.
Audits
The PAN foundation uses independent, third-party companies to conduct rigorous audits in order to provide an objective and independent evaluation of our programs and financial performance.
