PAN’s State of Patient Access report featured in Specialty Pharmacy Continuum

The PAN Foundation’s inaugural 2024 State of Patient Access report points to the fact that patients with chronic diseases are not impressed with the care they are receiving.

An article for Specialty Pharmacy Continuum highlights these results and further explores the challenges one caregiver faced in accessing care for her husband living with cancer. In particular, the article discusses the disparities of care based on gender, race/ethnicity, LGBTQIA+ status, income level, and generation.

“Clearly, if you look overall at the grades, a C for access to care is not good. The grades for Black adults, Hispanic adults, LGBTQ patients, people with lower incomes and younger patients are even more concerning,” said PAN Foundation Chief Mission Officer Amy Niles.
