The challenge
For patients living with life-threatening, chronic, and rare diseases, keeping track of medical appointments, prescription refills, and dosage schedules is no small feat.
For many, especially those with thousands of dollars of out-of-pocket costs, patient assistance charities like PAN that offer grants for co-pays and premiums are a much-needed lifeline.
There are a number of organizations like us, but each organization’s disease-specific funds open at different times. We heard from many patients, providers, and pharmacies that it was difficult to track availability.
For assistance programs in high demand, it was easy to miss the application window and along with it, the chance at crucial financial support.
Our solution
It’s why the PAN Foundation developed FundFinder, the first free resource that tracks more than 200 funds across nine foundations in one convenient place, providing patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy professionals immediate access to real-time information in just a few clicks.
With FundFinder, you can sign up for email or text message notifications to learn when financial assistance becomes available, or simply check the status of disease funds in the web-based app—eliminating the need to monitor multiple websites and saving healthcare teams hundreds of hours. Since launching in 2018, FundFinder has sent more than 500,000 notifications about assistance opportunities to users.
Although it was designed with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacists in mind, anyone can sign up, and it’s completely free.
My wife was getting close to running out of her medication when we were out of town. We received a text from FundFinder that assistance for multiple sclerosis was available. Without it, we could have lost out on the funding we needed to pay for her medications.
