The PAN Foundation is pleased to announce that Anabella Aspiras, MPA, BSN, RN, has joined the organization as the Senior Director of Development and Strategy. With over 14 years of experience spanning healthcare strategy and operations, policy, and serving on the front line of public health emergencies, Anabella brings a wealth of expertise to PAN’s mission of accelerating access to affordable, equitable healthcare.

Anabella most recently served in the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy as Assistant Director of Public Engagement for the Cancer Moonshot, where she played a key role in advancing the ambitious goals of the Cancer Moonshot: to reduce the cancer death rate and improve the experience of people living with and surviving cancer. Her work focused on increasing patient navigation services and spearheading initiatives to enhance access to cancer care. Her leadership in shaping public engagement strategies for the initiative has had a lasting influence on access to care for families facing cancer and other serious illnesses.

Beyond her policy experience, Anabella has deep clinical expertise, having worked in emergency and critical care settings, including frontline roles in response to COVID-19 and Ebola. She has also led clinical operations and strategy for health-tech organizations, such as Mendel AI and Flatiron Health.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anabella to the PAN Foundation,” said Alan Klein, PAN Foundation Chief Growth and Strategy Officer. “Her patient focus, through extensive experience in healthcare policy, public engagement, and within clinical settings—along with her leadership in advancing equitable access to care—makes her an invaluable addition to our team.”

In her new role at PAN, Anabella will lead efforts to strengthen support for PAN’s advocacy and education programs, drive fundraising initiatives, and expand the foundation’s impact in supporting patients with serious conditions.

“I am excited to join the PAN Foundation to help expand access to care for people with serious and chronic illnesses,” said Anabella Aspiras, PAN Foundation Senior Director of Development and Strategy. “The impact the PAN Foundation has already had through its advocacy work and growing education portfolio is impressive, and I look forward to helping the organization grow that impact in service of patients and families.”

Anabella holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from John Hopkins University and Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
